Sponsorship 2014

2013 is coming to an end and I would like to take the time to thank ALL of my friends, relatives, fans and well wishers for the continuous love, support and encouragement that I receive.

This year has been chucked full of excitement, adventures and experiences.

Starting with my 1st place win at the Arnold Classic USA in March and the followed by so much more, but ending on a lovely high note with my top 5 placement at the Arnold Classic Europe in October.

I already have my plans laid out for the upcoming year. If all goes according to plan, I aim to win my PRO card at the Arnold Classic USA in March 2014. As a contingency, I am also preparing myself to go in to the Arnold Classic Brazil in April and the Arnold Classic Europe in September 2014. For the very least, I aspire to win these three shows and accomplish a hat trick at the biggest shows in the Bodybuilding world.

I need your support to prepare for these shows and achieve the excellent results I have set my mind to. 

The kind words of encouragement, the pats on the back and the hugs are wonderful and always welcome, but most importantly, I need regular financial sponsorship. 

Why do I need sponsorship? Well, as many of you know, this is an expensive sport and besides being an athlete in the field of bodybuilding, I embrace bodybuilding as a lifestyle. So even though I may step on stage only once, twice or three times for the year, I am living and working towards competing every minute of the day. A typical preparation period for each competition lasts approximately 20 weeks and during that that time, these are the elements that contribute towards my success on the stage:

  • the right food
  • the right supplements
  • the right training 
  • the perfect finishing touches so I can step on stage already looking like a champion

THE RIGHT FOOD

My food shopping is pretty simple and straight forward. Whole eggs, egg whites, turkey bacon, oats, salsa, chicken breasts, turkey, trukey breasts, salmon, tilapia, beef steaks, brown rice, basmati rice, sweet potato, Idaho potato, salad, vegetables, coffee, tea, herbs and spices and good old PAM spray.

Although the list is short, remember, I eat 7 times for the day. And boy oh boy does it add up to quite a quantity of food for daily consumption, and quite a grocery bill!

THE RIGHT TRAINING 

I"m a bodybuilder and I know how to lift weights. But there are times when you need the help of experts such as:

While I take care of 90% of my training needs and requirments, even the best athlete has the "team" of experts to help make the finished product.


FINISHING TOUCHES

Sounds weird? Well the truth is that we bodybuilders don"t look like we do on stage when we are off the stage. At least I don"t. So to get stage ready I need to embark on the following:

  • tanning 
  • posing practise for mandatories and routine
  • posing music
  • posing suits
  • hair styling 
  • nails
  • make up
  • accessories
  • travel and accomodation to the competition venue
  • registration for the competition 
  • IFBB affiliation fees


So that"s the basic break down of a typical contest prep and competition budget. And if you do some guess-timation, you will realise that the final amount is not that small. Multiply it by THREE!!!
